FAQs: Travel and Earn 360
Q: How much money will I need?
A: For spending money we recommend anything between £3,500-5,000, but this will vary depending on the activities you want to do, and the length of time you are away. Don’t forget this trip is all about earning money so you can save as you go!
Q: How long will I go for?
A: This is up to you. The Thai Adventure runs for 4 weeks, and you will have 12 months validity on your Working Holiday Visas in both Australia and New Zealand. We recommend allowing around 6-7 months in Australia and 4-5 months in New Zealand. However as this trip is fully customisable, it may run for a longer or shorter time as you require.
Q: When can I go?
A: This trip runs all year round, with around 2 start dates per month.
Q: What countries can I go to?
A: If you book one of our two suggested programme options you will get to visit your chosen combination of all the countries mentioned above, but if you want to customise it, we offer trips in over 30 different countries, so the options are endless!
Q: Is it a group trip or will I be travelling alone?
A: The Travel & Earn 360 as a whole is an independent travel package made up of three of our favourite programmes. You will be with a group of travellers on the 4 week Thai Adventure, and on the 8 day introductory week in Australia and the 2 week programme in New Zealand. The rest of your time Down Under will be independent time to do paid work and travel.
Q: How flexible is it?
A: Very! We tailor-make this trip to suit you, and you can stay in each place for different lengths of time; a few months or a whole year or more enjoying your 360 trip – our travel advisors will help you plan your perfect individual itinerary, or you can let us do all the hard work & sign up for our suggested 360 itinerary.
Q: How much is the deposit?
A: The deposit for our Travel & Earn 360 is £500.
Q: Do I have to pay in full before I go? What are the payment options?
A: Yes, you have to pay the balance of your trip before you leave, but we have several different options;
• Pay £500 deposit and then pay the rest off 12 weeks before departure.
• Pay £500 deposit and then pay a monthly amount so you are paid off 1 month before departure.
• Pay £500 deposit and pay money in whenever you can as long as you are paid up in full 12 weeks before departure.
Q: How much are flights? Can you arrange them for me?
A: For a round-the-world ticket you are looking at paying between £1,800-2,200. This is just a guide price, as the cost will change if you wish to add more destinations to your trip. For example, adding in South
America will increase the cost of your ticket. Yes, we can help arrange your flights for you. We work with a great flights team, who are able to get competitive prices on reliable airlines.
Q: Do I need any visas?
A: Thailand: You will need a visa for Thailand if you plan to remain for durations of longer than 30 days. These MUST be obtained before you travel. In Thailand, without a visa, British nationals arriving by air can remain in the country for a maximum of 30 days, though if you arrive across a land border you can only stay for 15 days. If you wish to stay for longer, or plan to begin employed work during your stay, then you will need to apply for a visa before you depart the UK. If you are not planning on working this will be in the form of a 60-day tourist visa.
Australia: All visitors to Australia (excepting those from New Zealand) will require a visa or Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) to enter. If you hold a UK passport holder, you will need a Working Holiday Visa if you plan on staying in Australia to work, which we can help you arrange. You’ll also need to apply for an ESTA visa for the US which needs to be done before you go.
New Zealand: UK citizens don’t need a visa and can stay in New Zealand for up to six months. If you are planning on working at all during your time in New Zealand, you will need to apply for a Working Holiday Visa (available to 18-30 year olds) and can do this by visiting the New Zealand Immigration website.
Q: Can I do the 360 with a friend?
A: Yes, you can do this trip with a friend, partner or group of friends. Just ask your travel advisor.
Q: Do I need vaccinations?
A: You should visit your GP at least 8 weeks before you wish to go and they will advise you of any necessary vaccinations.
